Empowerment in the transition to parenthood

Treatment for psychological complaints surrounding fertility problems, pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood.

My approach

My mission is to support pregnant women and their partners when psychological complaints arise in this life-changing phase. For this, I offer customized psychological care, in which I pay attention to the current symptoms. Together we will focus on your specific situation and what will help you

A period of change

Psychological symptoms may arise or intensify. Common symptoms are anxiety, depression or intrusions, with underlying loneliness, shame, guilt or trauma. It can be difficult to talk about this with others. If these feelings or thoughts are weighing you down, it may help to seek professional advice. As an experienced GZ-psychologist I am here to help you.

Welcome to my website! My name is Anna Gijsberts and I am a passionate GZ psychologist with a wide range of experience in various sectors of mental health care. I am also a mother of a son.

My approach is empathic, non-judgmental and optimistic. In doing so, I work person-centered. Together we figure out what best suits your personality and your situation. We'll dicuss who we can involve during the treatment (if possible).

Within my treatments, I make use of my knowledge and experience with schematherapy, EMDR, CBT, mindfulness and my own experiences as a mother. In addition, I also focus on relaxation in the body and breathing.

Please feel free to contact me for more information or to make an appointment.

The options

  • Therapy

  • Coaching

Methods

  • CBT

Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on the interaction between thoughts, feelings, and behavior. It is about learning to think and act differently, in order to feel differently.

  • Schematherapy

Schematherapy focuses on persistent patterns that often originate in childhood. You learn to recognize your needs and take care of yourself in a healthier way.

  • EMDR

EMDR is a method practiced when there are trauma symptoms or PTSD, in which you focus on an image of the traumatic event while being simultaneously distracted (bilateral stimulation). As a result, the traumatic memory becomes less emotionally charged.

  • Mindfulness

Mindfulness is the gentle awareness of what is happening here and now, in the body and mind.

Accepting the present moment without wanting to change it helps reduce stress.

On site or via videocalling

My practice is in Haarlem (Raamsingel 8). An online treatment through videocalling is also possible. I also like to work in nature so the conversations can also take place while walking. Intakes and treatment appointments usually take place on Wednesdays. In consultation, evening hours might be possible.

Rates

Please note: I do not have contracts with health insurers. The percentage of reimbursement depends on the type of policy you have and which insurer you are with. It is recommended that you contact your health insurer directly to ask what percentage of the rate is reimbursed for non-contracted care within generalist Basic Mental Health Care (Basis GGZ). Reimbursed care is only possible if your complaints fit within a classification under the DSM-5 system and fall under reimbursable care. We will further assess this during the indication phase. Keep in mind that in all cases, the statutory deductible (eigen risico) will always be applied first. If you wish more information on reimbursement by the health insurance company, feel free to contact me.

The rates for psychological treatment by a BIG-registered GZ psychologist in basic mental healthcare (GB-GGZ) are determined annually by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa).
My rates are based on these guidelines. The rates are published on the NZa website (www.nza.nl/tarievenzoeker) and can be found under: outpatient - quality statute section II, for the GZ psychologist.

Different rates apply to various components (intake, diagnosis, treatment). An intake session typically lasts one hour. Treatment sessions generally last 45 minutes, but we will agree on the duration together. If a session is longer or shorter, I will adjust the time according to NZa guidelines. During the diagnostic phase, intake sessions are billed as diagnostic consultations (up to a maximum of four 60-minute diagnostic consultations), while subsequent sessions are billed as treatment consultations. The codes associated with the rates are intended for the health insurance.
The rates include administrative and preparation time. You will receive an invoice from me every month, which must be paid within 30 days.

Important: When no DSM-5 classification fits your symptoms, the treatment will not be reimbursed by the health insurer.

You also have the option to pay for the treatment yourself. The fee is € 138,15 (this is called a OVP-consult (OV0012), 45 minutes). In some cases, employers reimburse the provided care.

Intake 60 minutes € 190,88 (CO0562)
Treatment 45 minutes € 142,29 (CO0497)
Treatment 60 minutes € 168,94 (CO0627)
